Governor Hutchinson Provides Monday, May 10 COVID-19 Update

LITTLE ROCK – Governor Asa Hutchinson provided today's update on Arkansas's COVID-19 response.

In its Monday update, the Arkansas Department of Health reported 76 new cases; 2,053 active cases; 169 hospitalized, which is up 3 from Sunday; 41 on ventilators, which is up 5 from Sunday; deaths added today, 3, for a total of 5,764; a total of 337,586 cases; PCR tests, 1,074; antigen tests, 255.

The Health Department reported that the top counties for new cases are Pulaski, 17; Benton, 8; and Lonoke, 7.

Governor Hutchinson released the following statement on today’s COVID-19 numbers:

“Vaccine administration is higher in today's report than the same day in the previous two weeks, and our seven-day average of new cases remains steady. This report is a good start to the week, and we will hopefully continue to get more Arkansans vaccinated.”
