Governor Hutchinson Provides Wednesday, March 11 COVID-19 Update

LITTLE ROCK – Governor Asa Hutchinson provided Wednesday, March 10 update on Arkansas's COVID-19 response.

In its Wednesday update, the Arkansas Department of Health reported 317 new cases; 3,227 active cases; 301 hospitalized, which is down 16 from Tuesday; 72 on ventilators, which is up 1 from Tuesday; deaths added today, 25, for a total of 5,382; a total of 325,700 cases; 249,594 recoveries; PCR tests, 6,599; antigen tests, 941.

The Health Department reported that the top counties for new cases are Pualski, 43; Benton, 33; Washington, 27; Union, 18; and Faulkner, 17.

Governor Hutchinson released the following statement on today’s COVID-19 numbers:

“Today's report shows fewer new cases and higher testing than last week. Of the 25 new deaths reported today, 16 of them are late reporting from January. The team at the Department of Health and I are continually monitoring vaccine distribution to ensure we can administer doses as quickly and efficiently as possible.”
