Osceola school board recognizes cheer and coaches

The Osceola school board met Monday and a couple of the business items included recognizing members of the junior and senior high cheer squads and the members of the football coaching staff. Five members of the cheer squads took part in the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Fla. The girls performed in the pre-game and halftime shows. Cheer squad members on hand Monday were Sara Wright, Camryn Bevill and Emma Wright. The board also recognized the hard work and success of the Seminole football program under head coach Robert Hooks, Jr. The Seminoles have won 36 games over the last three seasons, the most in the state’s 3A classification. Present were Coach Adrian Jones, Coach Hooks and Coach Ross Harris. The board also discussed a few other matters including the renewal of the charter for the Osceola STEM Academy.
